Peter will review the fundamentals of advertising effectiveness and explain why now more than ever, effectiveness is a battle for attention. He will show how an over-focus on performance marketing inevitably means campaigns under-perform and also how this has damaged creativity and media planning, at enormous cost to brands. Throwing more media money at the problem is not the answer until we have repaired the damage and learnt to do more with less: it is time for an advertising reset.
